ABOUT DISTRICT COURT

District Court Complex Longleng, was inaugurated on 24th November 2022 by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Kakheto Sema, Judge Gauhati High Court in the presence of Shri. Neiko Akami Registrar, Gauhati High Court Kohima Bench and Smti. Somet C Chang District and Session Judge Longleng.

Smti. Somet C Chang is the present District and Session Judge, Longleng and Shri. Kumdilong Kessen NJS, is the present Chief Judicial Magistrate, Longleng.

Carved out of Tuensang District, Longleng District was created in the year 2003 as the tenth district of Nagaland. It is bordered by Mon District to the East, Mokokchung District to the West and Tuensang District to the South.

District Court Longleng functions under the establishment of the Chief Judicial Magistrate and the Administrative Authority of the Hon'ble Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench. The post of District and Session Judge is held as an additional charge. Late Niechochiyi Suyie was the first Chief Judicial Magistrate of District Court Longleng.
