Name: Smti. Somet Chumden Chang

Born on 09.05.1976 in Tuensang, Nagaland.
She did her schooling from St. John’s High School Tuensang and pre-university from Patkai Christian College, Chumukedima.
She did her graduation from Miranda House, Delhi University and also did her LLB from law centre II, Delhi University.
She was appointed as Judicial Magistrate First Class in 2005 and promoted to Chief Judicial Magistrate in 2016.
She is also a trained Mediator, having completed “40 hours mediation training program” organized by the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee Supreme Court of India.

She is currently serving as Principal District & Sessions Judge, Mokokchung since October 2021. Also holding additional charge as a District And Session Judge Longleng District Court.
